Now is the time to set out the rules (of my making) that I aim to follow in the coming year.
My Aim:
To read (and comment on) 366 books in 2012 (one book for every day of the year)
My Rules:
I will post comments on one book every day, for 366 days in 2012.
I am limiting myself to children's and teenage books, as this is my area of interest and expertise.
I will read any of the following types of books:
- Children's Picture Books
- Children's Fiction
- Teenage Fiction
- Audiobooks (being 'read to', is not technically 'me' reading, but I love audiobooks, and it means I can 'read' while I drive, so they're on the list )
- Teenage or children's non-fiction if anything takes my fancy.
Fine print
While I will publish a post about one book a day, I am not necessarily going to read a book a day.
The books I comment on will have been read sometime in the week before the post date. I can't predict that I will have the ability to read one book a day, life being what it is, but I know I can read at least 7 in a week, hence the 366 books, not "a book a day".
Any age guides given are just that, guides. I tend to err on the side of caution when giving an age recommendation for a book, but if you have any queries about an individual title please feel free to get in touch.
What will you do at the end of the year?
ReplyDeleteI hope you start again, because I've only just found you with less than 3 weeks of 2012 to go.
Hi.
DeleteI know, the year is almost over, and I can't believe that I will have actually done it!
I have had a lot of people ask what I will do in 2013, and I will continue blogging, it just won't be a book a day. Well at least I won't be committing myself to a book a day, it will just depend how many books I love enough. I plan to only share the real 'must read' books.
When the new blog has been set up, I will make sure I let everyone know in a post, so people who are interested can follow me there :)
