This is the new title in what used to be called the Read and Wonder Series, and was then called the Nature Storybook Series and now doesn't seem to have a series name, even though it follows the same format.
These books, would still be considered picture books, but they also have factual information threaded throughout the pages in a slightly smaller font than that of the main story.
In this book we follow the little girl through her day from when she wakes up hearing the ducks in the river, to when she feeds them on her way home from school, and finally when they settle down for the night. All the while learning interesting duck facts on the way. There is even an index in the back of the book

You could decide whether you you wanted to just read the story, or the story and the facts.
